The 5 biomes

1. Tide Pool

Warm shallows. Everything here is small, for now. Guardian: Tidal Aberrant.

2. Fungal Caves

Spore vents breathe in the dark. Leeches drop from the ceiling. Guardian: Mycelial Aberrant.

3. Thermal Vents

Geysers boil over without warning. Splitters thrive in the heat. Guardian: Magma Aberrant.

4. Frozen Abyss

Ice sheets steal your grip. Things wait under the frost. Guardian: Glacial Aberrant.

5. Aberrant Core

The living heart of the kingdom. It wants you inside it. Guardian: The Progenitor.

Creatures and enemies

Nutrient Bug

Harmless grazers. Some carry a speck of DNA. They scatter when something bigger approaches.

Thorn Crawler

Slow, armoured crawlers. Touching them hurts. They guard their patch rather than hunt.

Spore Beast

Puffballs that exhale slowing spore clouds when you come close.

Hunter Slime

Rival slimes. They stalk anything smaller and flee anything much larger.

Crystal Organism

Skittish mineral organisms packed with DNA. They run as soon as they notice you.

Lurker

An ambusher that buries itself and waits. Watch for ripples in the floor; it lunges when you pass too close.

Swarmling

Tiny biters that hunt in clouds. One is nothing; twelve will strip you. Area damage shreds them.

Shellback

Armoured from the front and slow to turn. Circle around and strike its soft back, or melt it with poison.

Siphon Leech

Darts in and clamps onto your membrane, draining you and slowing you down. Keep swimming hard or dash to shake it off; spikes and blasts pry it loose.

Splitter

Cut it and it becomes two. Each half splits again. Swallow it whole when you are big enough, or burst the whole family with area damage.

Bloater

A gas sac that drifts toward warmth, swells, then bursts, hurting everything nearby, its own kind included. Pop it from range or lure it into a crowd. Too acrid to swallow.

Mutagen Nest

A pulsing cyst of raw mutagen. Wardens wake when you come close; crack the core for a rare mutation.

Aberrant

A mutated apex predator. It sprays spines and its genome holds rare mutations.

Mutations

Choosing one of three mutation cards in Slime Kingdom

There are 38 mutations in six families: body, offense, movement, sensory, swarm and aberrant biology. 2 of them stay hidden until you discover how to unlock them, and 28 synergies wait to be found. See every mutation.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

Is Slime Kingdom free?

Yes. Slime Kingdom is completely free to play in your browser. There are no purchases, no energy timers and nothing to unlock with money.

Do I need to download or sign up?

No. The game runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile. You can play straight away as a guest; your progress is saved in your browser.

Can I play on my phone?

Yes. Slime Kingdom has touch controls with a virtual joystick and ability buttons, and works in portrait and landscape. You can also add it to your home screen.

Is there multiplayer?

Yes. Arena is an endless free-for-all where everyone grows by eating, and Battle Royale shrinks the map until one slime is left. Bots fill empty slots so matches start quickly.

How many mutations are there?

There are 38 mutations, 2 of them hidden until you meet their unlock condition, plus 28 secret synergies that trigger when two mutations combine. Most mutations can also be upgraded to a Mk II version.

What is the Daily Specimen?

Once a day everyone gets the same map and seed. Play it as often as you like and compare your best score on the daily leaderboard.

How do I beat the guardians?

Each biome is ruled by a guardian Aberrant that appears after a few minutes. Grow first, pick mutations that deal damage from range or over time, and keep moving. Beating a guardian opens a rift to the next, harder biome.
